Uncertainty as Northern Governors hold discussion with President Buhari in Abuja


Some governors from the northern parts of the country on Thursday, April 22, visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja.

Bashir Ahmaad, the personal assistant to the president on New Media, shared a photo of the meeting between the president and the governors on Twitter.


 He disclosed that the governors were led by Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state.


 Lalong is the current chairman of the Northern Governors Forum (NGF). Some of the governors at the meeting were;

 Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi); 

Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna); 

Mai Mala Buni(Yobe); 

Abubakar Bello(Niger) 

and Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa). 


 Ahmaad said: ''President Buhari earlier this afternoon, met with some governors led by Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.'' 


At the time of reporting the story, the reason for the visit was not yet known.
