Popular Nollywood Actor, Baba Ijesha Arrested For Allegedly Defiling A Minor For 7 Years

Veteran Nollywood actor, Olarenwaju James, better known as Baba Ijesha, has been arrested by Lagos State Police Command for allegedly defiling a minor.

According to DailyPost, the state police spokesman, Muyuwa Adejobi, in a statement on Thursday said the case of defilement was reported on April 19, 2021 by one Princess Adekola Adekanya at Sabo Police Station.

He expressed that the matter has been transferred to Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti in Yaba, Lagos state for investigation.

Based on preliminary findings, Adejobi, stated that the suspect started sexually assaulting the victim, 14 years, since she was 7 years old.

Adejobi said the suspect confessed to the crime and was also captured by a CCTV camera in the house of the complainant.

The spokesperson expressed that the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, promised that justice will be done in the matter.
