Fresh EndSARS Protests: Security Men Deployed In Strategic Places In Abuja

The Federal Capital territory (FCT), Abuja Police command on Sunday has concluded plans to mobilize its officers at strategic locations in the state following plans by youths to begin another wave of protest, starting from Monday, December 5.

A Senior Police officer attached to the Abuja state command confirmed this information to the Nation, by saying that adequate men have been mobilized to various parts of the state to contain the situation.

“Adequate men have been deployed. We will perform our constitutional responsibility as expected of us and ensure there is no breakdown of law and order, ” the senior Police officer said.

He also said that attention would be concentrated on areas like the Unity Fountain, Berger Roundabout, the National Assembly, the Force Headquarters and other areas, where it is suspected the action may be very intense.

Earlier, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, has said that the Police would not allow another protest that would put the nation into another round of destruction.

He warned that the Police is ready to arrest and prosecute anyone that attempts to disrupt the peace, through any kind of violent protest.
