LAF, Xouth Technologies and SA On Youth/Student matter announce outreach for students in Ekiti

LAWANSON ADENIRAN FOUNDATION in collaboration with XOUTH TECHNOLOGIES & SA On youth/ Student matter to the governor, Amb Ademiloye Moses JBS, have announced the take off of Secondary school students outreach in Ekiti state, VAM News reports.
While speaking with LAF convener, Lawanson Ismail, the program is targeted at 20 secondary schools across Ekiti State, and the digital skills that will be taught at each school includes; introduction to digital marketing, content creation, Skype for education, script writing, graphics design, computer programming, Google business tools.
For each engagement, the time stated is 2 hours; 30 minutes of introduction to digital skills, 1 hour for workshop, 30 minutes for questions and answers.
For the purpose of this project, we have partnered with expert organizations like; GoGlobal Solutions, Digitlab, TechQuest Academy, Skill4Dev, GBG Ado.
The formidable team are driving force to conquer unemployment and to build a society of young entrepreneurs.
The outreach to be held at the Christ Girls Ado-Ekiti on Friday.
It is purely a digital/soft skills acquisition, he said.
OUR VISION
To create awareness, educate and train young scholars on various digital/soft skills for self-development and to breed and equip potential employees for the labor market. Achieving this will reduce the rate of unemployment in the society and increase the margin of emerging young entrepreneurs in the technology sector of the nation.

To educate senior secondary students on the importance and necessity of acquiring digital skills.
To offer free training on various digital skills and how to earn from practicing them.
Creating an avenue to divert the attention of younger generation from internet fraud and focusing on earning legitimately working from the internet.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Secondary schools outreach in Ekiti state, Nigeria, is going to be a program to educate and train Senior Secondary School students (SS 3) on acquiring digital or Soft skill for self-development.
