REMEMBRANCE: NANS Commiserates With Family, Nigerian Students Over Yemi Adeniran's Death

Yemi Likedat is a hero, says NANS President. 

The Revolutionary President of NANS, Sunday Asefon has commiserated with the Family and Nigerian students over the death of the hero, Late Comrade Yemi Adeniran Likedat, who died on Thursday, December 19th, 2019.

In a statement signed by Asefon Sunday, the Revolutionary President Of NANS described the late NANS Leader, Yemi Likedat, as a selfless leader who always placed the interest of the Nigerian students above other considerations.

Asefon who spoke in Katsina state where he joined the president Mohammadu Buhari to receive the release of the  kidnapped students of Government science Secondary School, Kankara said, Likedat is a hero that will always live in the hearts of the ideological zone due to his laudable legacies, which include laying the foundation for the development in Polytechnic Ibadan and a pillar of support to students community.

“How many people died in Oyo state one year ago and are remembered in the fashion that have been seen online? For me, it is a day of joy for us to remember our leader who started laying the foundation for our students in the state. He came, he saw, he conquered and he is now resting, Asefon said

“Let me, on behalf of all Nigerian students, today commiserate the first anniversary of the death of our hero and of a man who lived for his people and not only for his family, of a man who left legacies and started laying the foundation blocks of a modern Oyo state education. His memories will continue to linger in Zone D and beyond.”

"Yemi Adeniran, Yemi Likethat, will be greatly missed for he was an inspiration to so many members of our association, particularly the Comrade and youth."

I pray for God's strength for the family during this moment of remembrance, Rest in Peace Yemi Likedat, the statement reads.
