Why I won't hand over to my Deputy - Akeredolu insist despite testing positive for coronavirus

Despite testing positive to covid-19, the Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu said he will not hand over power to his deputy, Agboola Ajayi.

The Governor said his deputy has nothing to do with APC since he is no longer a member , so therefore he can’t be trusted with governance in the State.

Akeredolu, who spoke through the state Commissioner for Information, Donald Ojogo said that it is not necessary that Governor Akeredolu should hand over governance to Ajayi.

Recall that Ajayi and his boss have been in a heated relationship, which led to the formal cross carpeting on in the month of June.

On June 30, Akeredolu told the general public of his COVID-19 status after his test returned positive.

Ojogo, however, emphasised that government activities have in no way been affected as a result of his boss COVID-19 status.
