For daring to deduct N11bn from Rivers State, Wike sues FG
For daring to deduct N11billion from Rivers State government, Rivers Governor Nyeson Wike is ready to sue the Federal Government.
The money according to Wike was allegedly meant to fund the Nigeria Police.
The Governor said he had already instructed the State Attorney General to sue the Federal Government for the deduction, saying such action without any recourse to the State was illegal.
He said “Our lawyers will prepare our papers and we will go to court. Nobody says you cannot support the police, but you must get the consent of states before taking their money. I have told the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum that Rivers State will challenge this matter in court.”
