Remo Stars Footballer Buried As Nigerian Students blow hot, ask President Buhari To restructure FSARS

Tiyamiyu Kazeem a.k.a (Kaka), the assistant captain of Remo Stars FC of Ogun State were buried on Thursday at his family house in Ajaka, Sagamu, Ogun state amid tears, according to Islamic rites.



Meanwhile, Nigerian students under the aegis of National Association of Polytechnics students, (NAPS) has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria led by President Muhammadu Buhari for the restructure of the Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) on wednesday following the death of Remo Stars defender, Tiyamiyu Kazeem.

In a statement by Remo Stars media officer, Oladimeji Oshode, the club’s assistant captain, Tiyamiyu Kazeem, better known as ‘Kaka’ allegedly killed at about noon  on Saturday along Sagamu road is a very painful loss.


The club spokesperson accused the SARS operative of stopping the vehicle Kazeem was driving alongside his teammate Sanni Abubakar.


According to Oshode, Kazeem was allegedly pushed out of the vehicle by the SARS operative, who had mistaken him for a suspected internet fraudster (Yahoo boy), before he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.


However, the Ogun State Police Command claimed he jumped down from their vehicle, on their way to the police station, and was crushed by a hit-and-run driver.



A statement signed by it's media adviser, Comrade Olorungbotemi Tunde Bright while reacting in a Press conference and also on his Facebook wall, Bright Olorungbotemi One Voice condemned the actions of police officers, adding that they are in the society to protect Nigerians and not to cut short their life span.


He wrote: 
"We can not be fighting Boko haram, Herdsmen, Terrorists etc.. and also facing the oppression and depression from the body that is meant to safeguard the citizens but rather killing them."

He further emphasized, 
“The Nigeria Police is meant to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians and not to cut short their life span", What a "Garden of Innocent deaths Nation," he said.


The loss of a rising star  like 'Kaka' is a very sad one, all the perpetrators should be brought to book and not audio sanction.


There are also many special lives that have been wasted by the insensitivity of the security operatives.
