NANS ZONE D ASG declares kick off campaign against COVID-19 In Nigerian institutions

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) AGS ZONE D, Comrade IBUKUN TITILAYO SAMUEL PKA Highbeekay kickoff the awareness on the deadly disease called Coronavirus.
The awareness which immediately started in some institutions yesterday after an Italian man which was infected was diagnosed yesterday in Lagos.
The essence of the awareness is to enlighten the students on the deadly disease and to be conscious of their environment.
However, the following are all you need to know about the deadly CORONAVIRUS.
Coronaviruses (CoV) are large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases which started in Wuhan, China.
The Common signs of infection includes respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.
World health Organization also Make standard recommendations to prevent the infection from spreading includes:
-Washing your hand often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
-Avoid touching your eyes,nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
-Avoid close contact with people who are sick that are showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.
-Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
-Stay home when you’re sick.
-Cover your respiratory organs with medical masks or sneeze with a tissue , them throw the tissue in the trash hould be note that when using the medical mask,the color side out signify you’re sick and don’t want the germs to spread across whole the white side out(filter part) for when you’re not sick and don’t want the germs to get in.
As we move our awareness train to other institutions we’re using this medium to also sensitize everyone and urge Nigerian students to be careful and be conscious as we know health is wealth.
