Lockdown: Government withdraws charges against Naira Marley and Gbadamosi

A Lagos Magistrate Court has pardoned Nigerian Hip-hop artiste, Azeez Fashola, a.k.a Naira Marley and a former gubernatorial candidate, Babatunde Gbadamosi, for contravening the lockdown order imposed on the state to flatten coronavirus curve.





Meanwhile, Despite the lockdown order in the state, fans of singer Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley stormed the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Ogba this morning to show him support as he was being arraigned for flouting the social distancing order of the state government.







Naira Marley was arraigned alongside politician, Babatunde Gbadamosi but the state government decided to not go forward with the prosecution. .







Both Naira Marley and Gbadamosi were arraigned on Wednesday before a Magistrate court in the state after attending the birthday party organised by Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello popularly called Jenifa for her husband, Abdulrashhed Bello who is known professionally as JJC.


Naira Marley, Babatunde Gbadamosi) and his junior brother must fulfill the following conditions: 1. They have to write a formal apology to the Govt of Lagos State which will solidify the remorsefulness shown by them 2. They have to give an undertaking in writing that .. 2. That they will continue to comply with the directives of Mr. President and Mr Gov which is the subject matter of the case before the court 3. They must go on 14days isolation .
