APACMA holds maiden summit themed Youth Empowerment as the Panacea to Conflict and Drug Abuse
APACMA begins youth empowerment drive
A Non-Governmental Organisation, African Peace and Conflict Management Foundation, has begun a campaign to rid the streets of indolent youths.
To this end, the NGO will hold the first if a series of youth empowerment programmes on Saturday December 21, 2019 at Aseese Town Hall in Aseese, Ogun State.
APACMA President, Mr. Innocent Eneta, said in a statement that the group was poised to support efforts by governments and NGOs to change youth perception about self development.
Eneta said the first summit would be chaired by a philanthropist and community leader, Ambassador T. Oluwasanya, while top officers from security agencies in the state as well as traditional rulers, community and opinion moulders as well as heads of some NGOs are being expected.
The event will be headlined by industrialist and agro processing expert, Chitola Roberts, and a development journalist, Adeola Ogunlade.
At the event, the NGO will also launch a Say No to Violence and Drug Abuse campaign, to help in redirecting the focus of youths away from vices and in the direction of positive influences.
