Dear Aisha, China also kill their corrupt public officials, can you advocate for that to be in our laws? - Nigerians vs Mrs Buhari over her support for social media regulation

Nigerians on Twitter are reacting to the news of first lady, Aisha Buhari, showing support for the controversial social media bill, VAM News gathered.

At a function in Abuja yesterday November 29th, Mrs Buhari said if China with over 1.3 billion can regulate their social media space, she sees nothing wrong in Nigeria regulating its own.

Aisha Buhari said:

"On this issue of social media, you cannot just sit in the comfort of your house and tweet that the Vice President has resigned. It is a serious issue. If China can control over 1.3 billion people on social media, I see no reason why Nigeria cannot attempt controlling only 180 million people"
