Nigerian students exercise their knowledge by contesting yesterday. We have 11 contestants on sit and it takes proper scrutiny and wisdom to identify the one who has done unimaginably well.
The programme took place in the multipurpose hall where we have a lot of dignitaries on sit.

VAM News confirmed some of them; Dean of student affairs, sub-dean of student affairs, Mr Kayode Adebusuyi (PIPR), Mr Ayokunle Osakinle (PIPR), Mr Adesunloro, four representatives from Kids and teens resources centre (Akure), Miss Ekiti, Miss Tourism, SUG executives, and distinguished fellows.

Engr. Ekanem (sub-dean of student affairs) orientates the Nigerian students on what press is all about and PC Akerele Toluwalope, the Press president delivered the welcoming speech and advised the entire students to be attentive.

Martin Mary Falana who spoke on behalf of the kids and teens resources centre from Akure said they're ready to fight for social vices on campus, she laid emphasis on how the student can inculcate discipline within and outside the campus. She advised ladies to rise up for their rights only if they believe they can do it. They also shared with the audience their website (www.kids&teensngo.org).

Mr Adebusuyi who stands as the moderator was faithful to coordinate the debate without been biased while Mr Adesunloro, the impartial chief judge declared Akinmade Omowunmi from Banking and Finance department as the first position. Shaibu Sanni from Science Laboratory Technology department received the price for the second position.

The event is just a capsule of a quote that says "don't think you can't do it until you give your last trial and don't make your last trial until you've succeeded."
