The APC Youth Movement for Asiwaju 2027, a strong political group mobilising for the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027 has leveled serious accusations against Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, the National Vice Chairman (South East) of the  party warning that he is secretly collaborating with the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) to sabotage President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid and weaken the APC's structure in the region.

*In a Media briefing to journalists in Abuja by Hon. Onyeka Maduforo and Hon. Pastor Ezekiel Offor, the movement's coordinators, the group alleged that Dr. Arodiogbu's recent actions, including what they describe as covert efforts to shift the South East's National Ex-Officio Member position in the National Executive Committee (NEC) from Anambra State to Imo State, violates the party's micro-zoning formula and is part of a broader scheme to create disaffection, factionalism, and instability ahead of the 2027 general elections.*

The statement described the relocation of the Ex-Officio slot as "a deliberate act of sabotage" that disregards the established equitable distribution of NEC positions across the five South East states (Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo), which has historically ensured balanced representation. They stated that this move favors Imo State (Dr. Arodiogbu's home state) at the expense of Anambra and potentially alienating key youth and stakeholder groups in Anambra, where the APC is aggressively pursuing takeover in upcoming elections.

*"Dr. Arodiogbu's maneuvers are not isolated; credible intelligence points to his discreet engagements with elements linked to the ADC, aimed at undermining President Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda and the APC's growing momentum in the South East," the youth movement asserted.*

*"This betrayal threatens our collective resolve to deliver massive bloc votes for Asiwaju in 2027 and must be stopped before it fractures the party irreparably."*

The group emphasized that the South East APC has recently projected strong unity through endorsements of President Tinubu's second term by governors, and stakeholders, including repeated affirmations of support for his re-election and appreciation for federal interventions benefiting the region.

*They accused Dr. Arodiogbu of working against this consensus, warning that such actions could embolden opposition forces and hinder youth mobilization efforts tied to the "Asiwaju 2027" campaign.*

The movement called on the APC National Chairman, the Board of Trustees, President Tinubu's office, South East governors particularly Imo State's Senator Hope Uzodimma, and other senior leaders to launch an immediate investigation into his activities and enforce strict adherence to the party's zoning arrangements as reaffirmed ahead of the 2026 National Convention. 

The youth movement vowed to intensify grassroots campaigns for Tinubu while monitoring developments closely, stressing that loyalty to Asiwaju and party unity remain non-negotiable. Further clarifications or interventions from national leadership are expected as tensions simmer.
