Just In: Former Governor Of Zamfara, Abdulaziz Yari Arrested

Premium Times is reporting that a former governor of Zamfara state, Abdulaziz Yari, is currently in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). 

According to the report, operatives of the EFCC are interrogating Yari over series of corruption allegations. 

The former governor is said to have been held at the Sokoto office of the anti-graft agency for eight hours as of the time of filing this report.

A source quoted in the report said: “He honoured the invitation at the Sokoto office at about 11 a.m. on Tuesday. 

He has been offered bail, but he has not been able to meet the bail conditions.”
