ROUNDUP: Osun Amotekun Foils Further Civil Unrest In Osogbo

Osun residents witnessed the drama and sudden operation of the Osun state security network Agency, also known as Operation Amotekun, who were stationed at Oju-Irin, Olaiya motor parks in Osogbo, the state capital after a civil unrest on Sunday evening.
A source disclosed to VAM News that the Osun State government, ordered the Amotekun Corp to maintain peace and order at the motor garage following an alleged attacked on Governor Oyetola by Asiri Eniba and his crew who were allegedly called state boys among the citizens of the state.

It was gathered from a reliable source who proved anonymity, that the attack on the governor happened on sunday 17th January 2021, after a dispute between the Governor's security aides and Asiri Eniba at a birthday celebration that the governor had attended earlier that day at the APC State Chairman resident.
It was reported that after the dispute occurred between the governor's aide and Asiri Eniba at the event where the Governor was attending claiming he was not allowed to see Mr Governor at the event, Asiri eniba had concluded that the governor had given the order and was playing hanky-panky with him, so he had gone back to the NURTW garage at the Old Garage Freedom Park Oshogbo to reinforce with his boys and waylay the governor’s convoy.
An eyewitness had reported that immediately the governor's convoy was approaching, Asiri Eniba had attacked the convoy blocking the road and burning tyres, He revealed that the duo started exchanging gun fire and the city was in uproar, but what had happened between the duo could not be reliably ascertained.
Another witness on the stand of anonymity had reported that it was likely that the alleged rivalry between Governor Oyetola and Former governor Aregbesola that had caused the public exchange of unrest in the state and also between Oyetola security men And the so called State boys.
Meanwhile the Governor had ordered the arrest of Asiri Eniba and had also ordered the lock down of the two garage where his men preside over. As at Tuesday 19th January 2021 Amotekun Vehicles are seen stationed at the Olaiya Park and the Old Garage park of the NURTW.
VAM correspondent while speaking with a close ally of Asiri Eniba, popularly called 'Spanner' reported that the NURTW insisted on not talking to Newsmen on phone.
"I will call you to schedule a physical meeting with you, Spanner said.
Also, the state government didn't comment on the report, when our correspondent contacted them to get their own side of the story.
Meanwhile, all efforts by our corresspondent to reach out to Asiri Eniba and ally proved abortive.
