Nigeria Reports 917 New COVID-19 Cases, Toll Now 90,080 With 1,311 Deaths
Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases has increased further on Sunday, January 3, 2021, with 917 new infections.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known in its daily update on Coronavirus.
Data released by the NCDC revealed that the new infections were reported in 16 States and the FCT.
FCT accounted for the highest number of infections for the day with 222 cases, followed by Lagos-214 and Kaduna-119.

Others are;
Plateau (92), Nasarawa (50), Oyo (41), Adamawa (33), Ondo (32), Abia (28), Ogun (19), Rivers (17), Kano (16), Yobe (14), Edo (8), Anambra (6), Ekiti (5) and Jigawa (1).
The Centre for Disease Control further disclosed that 9 persons died of COVID-19 complications while 255 patients recovered and have been discharged from various isolation centres in the country.
“Our discharges today includes 59 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.”
This takes the nation’s total infections to 90,080; 75,044 recoveries and 1,311 deaths.
