How Amotekun officials allegedly killed father, Two sons in gun duel
A Septuagenarian, usman okebi and his two sons, have been allegedly killed in a fight between some officers of the Amotekun Corp and some herdsmen in Aiyete, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State.
It was also gathered that many houses were razed during the incident that occurred on Saturday.
The Seriki fulani in igangan area,one Saliu alleged that the amotekun corps had stormed the fulani compound in the area and started shooting at some people without any reason .
In a reaction,an officer of amotekun corps in the area who claimed anonymity debunked the allegation, saying the amotekun officers had wanted to rescue a kidnapped victim kept in the area but were prevented by the old man and his two sons who started shooting at them.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command, Mr Olugbenga Fadeyi, said investigations into the case had commenced on the case.
The Commandant of Amotekun Corps in Oyo State, Retired Col. Olayinka Olayanju, said he would issue a statement on the incident soon.
Meanwhile, on Saturday night ,the vigilantes in igangan arrested two herdsmen with huge amount of money and ak 47 bullets at a beer pallor, opposite demolished Kara, lgangan, and have been handed to the police.
It was gathered that normalcy have however returned to Ayete, ibarapa area of oyo state following the crisis which claimed life of the septuagenarian ,his two sons and one injured.
