BREAKING: Kaduna Continues To Suffer As Armed Bandits Kill Four Residents, Injure Others
Armed bandits have again, killed four people in Katarma village, Chikun local government area of Kaduna, as the northwest state comes under intense siege from the criminal gangs.
The incident was disclosed in a statement sighted by VAM NEWS on Thursday, January 7 issued by Samuel Aruwan, the Kaduna state commissioner for internal security and home affairs.
Aruwan said the bandits were initially engaged by local vigilantes who defended the village before troops were mobilised to the location.
He further said the state government was informed of the incident by security agencies, adding that the four persons killed in the attack are: Bulus Barde, Hassan Zarmai, Lawal Pada, and Kefas Auta.
He added that three others: Amos Doma, Zamba Ali, and Bomboi Busa sustained injuries from gunshots during the incident.
Recall that no fewer than 19 people were killed in a two-day attack by bandits in the state recently.
Also, two married women were among an unspecified number of the villagers said to have been kidnapped by the bandits during the coordinated attacks, while nine persons sustained bullet injuries.
