Nigerian club sign young American-born Footballer

A Nigerian top club, Kano Pillars have signed a young American-born football player to their under 15 academy ahead of the start of the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The young lad, Neuer Abraham whose parents recently relocated to Nigeria was presented to Kano Pillars by his father after both parties reportedly reached an agreement.

Speaking with newsmen at the unveiling this week, the U15 team Manager Sani Abubakar Sadauki, was quoted as saying: “Neuer is a very young kid with multi-talents and we’ll disciplined and his ready to join the U15 Kano pillars training group anytime soon”.

Photos of the unveiling circulating on social media are being mocked by Nigerians with some wondering why the American family decided to settle here in Nigeria.
