Gov Sanwo-Olu Unveils Nigeria’s First Electric Car(photos)
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Friday unveiled the first electric car to be assembled in Nigeria.
The car was assembled in Nigeria by the Stallion Group Automobile Factory in Ojo area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor ,Gbenga Akosile, shared a video of the unveiling on his twitter handle.
In a series of tweets on his official Twitter handle , Akosile said the unveiling of the electric cars ” is a confirmation that Lagos is a destination of choice and will continue to attract more global brands.
His tweets ; “Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu unveiled the first electric car to be assembled in Nigeria. Lagosians and indeed Nigerians can now drive electric cars.Lagos remains the hub for the nation’s economy, a pace setter in industrialisation. A home for meaningful development,”
He also quoted Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu reassuring ” that his administration will complete the 10-lane Lagos- Badagry expressway.
” The electric car is called a HYUNDAI KONA and it takes 9 hrs 45m for a full charge (0-100%). It can go as far as 422 Kilometer at one charge.”

It has a 5 years Warranty, it is easy to handle and includes a stylish interior.
The HYUNDAI KONA can be charged from a regular socket but with its specified charger, Akosile tweeted.
