Court Remands Two Females For Attempted Murder Of Osun Governor During EndSARS protest
Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Oshogbo on Wednesday remanded two females identified as Suliyat Tajudeen (20yrs) and Ayomide Abdulazeez (20yrs) in Ilesha Correctional Center for alleged attempt to murder Osun State Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola during #EndSARS protest in the state.
The police prosecutor, John Idoko charged the two on a six-count charge bordering on attempted murder, malicious damage, burglary and stealing.
When the count charges were read to them, they pleaded not guilty to the offence preferred against them.
The counsel for the two, Nurudeen Kareem applied for their bail on the most liberal term.
The prosecutor opposed the bail stating that they will jump bail considering the overwhelming evidence the police have against them.
While ruling, the Chief Magistrate, Dr Olusegun Ajilara remanded them to Ilesha prison .
He however adjourned the case to 20th November 2020 for the hearing of bail application.
VAM News recalls that the Governor Gboyega Oyetola was attacked by the suspected hoodlums during EndSARS protest while he was addressing them at their convergence spot, Olaiya junction, Osogbo, Osun state capital.
