Court strikes out alleged fraud case against Osun Deputy Chief of Staff

       

Osun Deputy Chief of Staff, FCT court statement 

An Abuja (FCT) High Court sitting in Maitama and presided over by Justice Olasumbo. O Goodluck has struck out the fraud allegation case levied against Mr Adeyanju Abdullahi Binuyo, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State.


In a suit marked CR/975/2020, none of the parties was present at the resumption of trial on Wednesday.


It was earlier reported that Binuyo was sued to court over an alleged fraud of $120,000 between him and a man identified as Babatunde Ajala.










VOICE AIR MEDIA reported in a statement signed by Counsel to Binuyo, Wahab Ismail, who denied the involvement of the his client in the business, stating that his principal was just a witness and not a party to the failed business.


“At any rate, even the amount involved in the business, which is $100,000 and not $120,000, has been refunded in full to the party concerned almost a year ago. It was received by one Tunde Ajala, which was duly acknowledged by his Counsel as well and witnessed by the Police”, Ismail said in a statement earlier on Wednesday.

He added that the story is not only mischievous, but equally misleading and an attempt to cast aspersions on the person of Binuyo.


While delivering a short ruling on Wednesday, the trial Judge, Justice Olasumbo Goodluck held that “at the instance of the prosecution, the case is struck out.”
