10 lives Feared dead in Ondo state capital fatal road crash

Ten persons were feared dead in a fatal road accident involving a truck and an eighteen seater bus at the Olu foam junction, along Akure/Owo Expressway, Àkúré, Ondo State Capital, on Thursday.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at about 9pm.

According to bystanders, the accident involved a trailer with registration number KJA 14 XW which collided with the bus from the opposite direction while avoiding a collision with an okada rider.

It was gathered that the trailer eventually crushed the okada rider before colliding with the bus marked USL 498 XB.

The bus was loaded with eighteen passengers including four underage children.

Meanwhile, the Federal Road Safety Corps has evacuated the victims to the ondo state UNIMED teaching Hospital in Àkúré while the corpses of the deceased were also deposited at the morgue of the hospital.
