Seven Dead In Fresh Ondo Multiple car Accident

Multiple road accidents on Sunday have claimed 7 lives in the Akungba Akoko, Akoko South West area of Ondo State.










VOICE AIR MEDIA learnt that the accident, which occurred on Sunday night, was caused by an articulated truck, which rammed into some vehicles by the roadside.


This is coming barely three days after another accident occurred in the area where five persons died.

An eyewitness, who conveyed the incident to this Newspaper, said many passengers were still trapped inside the vehicle.


It was gathered that policeman from Akungba who rushed to the scene of the accident conveyed those that died and those injured to the hospital in Akungba for treatment.










" l counted seven dead bodies that were carried by police officers into their van.


Commenting on the crash, a lawyer and social media commentator and indigene of the town confirmed the incident as very tragic, eyewitness said.


Mr. Tolu Babaleye, a social media commentator described the accident as terrible.










Babaleye said on his Facebook wall that " This accident is terrible, over 7 vehicles involved. Many are dead and many are missing. May God heal the land.


Meanwhile, officials of the federal road safety corps, FRSC yet to make a release on the incident.
