NAUS CMC Osun state chapter first executive council











The National Association of University Students (NAUS) CMC Osun State chapter on Saturday inaugurated new members of its first executive council.


VOICE AIR MEDIA reports that the inauguration ceremony that ushered in the first students leaders in the state under NAUS CMC took place at the NUJ Press center, Osogbo, capital of Osun.


NAUS CMC is the association of all Universities students in Osun state. The body describes itself as the voice and protector of the rights of all universities students.










The event had in attendance of personalities, among guests are the executive governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola represented by the Senior Special Assistant on Social Mobilization and Students’ Affairs, Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji, NANS JCC Osun chairman, NAUS national VP (southwest), Comrade Aruson, Representative of NAUS SP, Former NANS Osun JCC Chairman, Comrade Seedorf, Ospoly Iree SUG President, Comrade Kenraj and many notable comrades.


Comrade Ayantunji, retreated the commitment of Governor Oyetola in providing enable environment for students in higher institution of the state to acquire quality education.










He made the disclosure while delivering his lecture, titled "Role Of Students In National Development." on Saturday.


Speaking, Comrade Ayantunji said Oyetola has prioritized welfare of higher institution students which will be accessible by all.











Echoing his readiness to work with leadership of students in the state, the SSA promised to maintain synergy with student representatives by ensuring that their yearnings are responded to and uninterrupted academics season is sustained when they return to campus.


“We are committed to the vision of Governor Gboyega Oyetola to build army of students and youths that are productive and responsible by reaching and involving for popular participation ” he said.

Earlier in his address to the NAUS new excos, Comrade Ayantunji charged them to live up to their responsibility and see their new offices as an opportunity to protect interest of their colleagues at all times.










He also urged them not to promote violence on campus saying they should lead by example by ensuring that they encourage academic excellent with character.


The New Chairman, Eluyera Kayode Michael encouraged all executive members to work together.










He also charged all universities students in the state to remain calm as all efforts are ongoing to challenge the Federal government to reopen the schools.
