Tottenham are set to make a late decision on Harry Kane ahead of the Champions League final gathered by VAM News.

The England captain has been struggling with an ankle problem but has insisted he is fit to play today against Liverpool in Madrid.

Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed he will leave it as late as possible before deciding whether to start Kane, with semi-final hero Lucas Moura hoping to keep his place.

Speaking on his talisman's fitness, Pochettino said: "Making a decision will not be easy, the last games we played, the quarters and semis, the last 16, every game you need to take a decision.

"Like always it's painful in football you can only use 11 players it's the most painful situation.

Liverpool have been boosted by Roberto Firmino's return to fitness ahead of the final.

The Brazilian has trained all week and will start, while Georginio Wijnaldum is likely to get the nod in midfield ahead of James Milner.

Reds legend Jamie Carragher believes that is the only call Jurgen Klopp has to make with his line-up.

"I think he will go for Wijnaldum. He has been Liverpool's best midfield player over the course of the season," Carragher said.

"He has been up and down in 2019 but I think that has been down to tiredness more than anything after a long season.

"After scoring twice against Barcelona , I think he will get the nod."
