How Another Lady Was Raped, Killed In Ibadan After The Rearrest Of Suspected Serial Killer

Another lady identified as Mary Daramola has been allegedly raped and murdered in Akinyele area of Ibadan, raising suspicion the notorious Sunday Shodipe is not the only criminal operating in the community.











This is coming on the heel of the rearrest of the Ibadan Suspected serial killer, Sunday Shodipe.

Shodipe was re-arrested earlier in the week after he escaped from police custody on August 11.










Daramola was allegedly raped and killed at Alabata community, near Moniya, in Akinyele Local Government.


 Confirmation:
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Oyo State Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi told newsmen that the incident happened on Monday, August 24.










He said a suspect has been arrested over the incident, adding that he has been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for investigation.


Balogun of Alabata, Chief Rasaq Ajimoti said a passer-by, who noticed the gang when they were trying to dump Mary’s corpse at a nearby bush, raised an alarm which resulted in the arrest of one Toheeb Ako, who was then taken to Moniya Police Station.











VOICE AIR MEDIA has gathered that Daramola’s guardian, Mrs. Folakemi Adedeji, expressed shock over the ugly incident and called for justice to serve as deterrence to rapists in the society.

Previous Attacks:
A student identified as Grace Oshiagwu was also raped and killed in Ibadan area of Oyo State.


The deceased, 21, was a National Diploma student of The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki.










The attack on Ms Oshiagwu happened on Saturday at Idi-ori Area, off Shasha Expressway, Akinyele Local Government Area in Ibadan.


Grace Oshiagwu, female, aged 21 years, was macheted on her head in a church mission building at Idi-Ori Area, Shasha off expressway by unknown assailant(s) today 13/06/2020 about 3:00 pm."











VOICE AIR MEDIA reported how Baraka Bello, a student of the Department of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT), Federal College of Animal Health and Production, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, was raped and killed on June 1.


Suspected ritualists also killed a 29-year-old woman, Azeezat Somuyiwa, who was seven months pregnant in her home on June 5.


The two cases, as well as that of Ms Oshiagwu, happened at Akinyele Local Government Area.










No fewer than five persons have been killed in the area in the last four months.


Sunday Shodipe was arrested for most of the killings.


He also confessed to killing a woman after he escaped from police custody.
