SUG UNIZIK clarifies students on fake resumption of school activities

We want to use this medium to notify our students and the general public that the viral publication ( rumoured to be) published by the school authority which announced the resumption of school activities next month and reopening of hostels on the 4th of July is totally FAKE.

We hereby call on the students of NAU to disregard such information as it is not only misleading but false to its entirety.

In an officially confirmed Press Release made by the Head,  Information and Public Relations/Chief Protocol Officer, captioned 'FUMIGATION OF THE UNIVERSITY ENVIRONMENT, the University Management clearly started that, " following the recent directive by the Federal Government on decontaminating the academic environment in preparation for the resumption of academic activities, the entire University will be fumigated from the 26th of June 2020.   As a result of this, the Vice-Chancellor has directed that the University be shut down for two weeks"

The Students' Union Government hereby urges the entire students to disregard all rumors relating to date of resumption and reopening of school hostels, as it is totally False; the Union and University Management through the appropriate channels will always keep the students and the general public abreast and updated on the resumption of all academic activities.

Meanwhile, as we continue to be hopeful for the country to get back to normal and academic activities reopened, we  urge all students to adhere to preventive measures and protocols stipulated by the NCDC and other relevant health agencies amongst which are: social distancing, use of face masks and regular washing of hands, etc.
