PDP fails to save Embattled Dep Governor After Dumping ruling party, Principal to press on with fight against "a house divided against itself in Ondo state"

The embattled incumbent deputy governor of Ondo State, Mr Ajayi Agboola who currently dumped the ruling All progressive congress and his principal for People's Democratic Party to contest the election, has gallantly lost to Eyitayo Jegede SAN who was the 2016 governorship candidate of the party. Eyitayo Jegede SAN defeated the deputy governor with 231 votes.
Details of the results obtained by VOICE AIR MEDIA, are as follows:
1. Eyitayo Jegede SAN 888 votes
2.Hon Ajayi Agboola 657 votes
3. Dr Eddy Olafeso 175 votes
4. Dr Bode Ayorinde 95 votes
5. Banji Okunomo 90 votes.
6. Solo Ebiseni 29 votes
7. Godday Erewa 14 votes
VOICE AIR MEDIA has gathered that Sixty four invalid votes were recorded out of two thousand and eleven delegates.
What's Next for Agboola Ajayi after moving away from "poisoned space"?
The deputy governor, while officially decamping to PDP on June 22, 2020, described the APC as a " Poisoned space" he needed to move away from.
According to him, the APC was now like "a house divided against itself in Ondo state, adding that party was having breathing difficulties because one man was kneeling on its neck".
After announcing the results, the aspirants congratulated the winner in line with the memorandum of understanding earlier signed by them, and promised to work for the success of the party.
Embattled deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, who was the first runner up has reacted to the outcome of the exercise.
However reacting, the Deputy governor described the primary as a good fight.
In a statement by Allen Sowore, his Media Adviser, Ajati noted that, “the people have spoken, and we accept the outcome in good faith, knowing fully well that it was a race against different forces.
“We remain undaunted and resolute about our commitment to a people oriented government against personalised democracy. We wish the good people of Ondo State and the winner the best as we March on. For us, life goes on,” Ajayi said.
Many would think that Ajayi, may be regretting dumping his principal for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) but do you think PDP honestly wanted to give Ajayi the gubernatorial ticket?
What next? To save the state from "self ruling, one's family business, clannishness and primitive accumulation of illegal wealth under state cover", Being Described by Agboola Ajayi in his official decamping speech.
