COVID-19: PHOTOS, VIDEO: Social Distancing violated at Ondo Commissioner For Health's burial

Following the death of Ondo state commissioner for health, Wahab Adegbenro, in the early hours of Thursday 2nd July, 2020, residents and government officials reportedly tropped out to mourn the deceased, resulting to the violation of social distancing rule on Friday during the burial rites against the advised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to check the spread of coronavirus and orders of the government of Nigeria.
VOICE AIR MEDIA learnt that the deceased, Adegbenro died of COVID- 19 complications at the state’s infectious disease hospital on Thursday.
Barely hours after the demise of the commissioner, pictures, video of how the remains of the body of Wahab Adegbenro was laid to final rest have surfaced online.
In the viral photos and video obtained by VOICE AIR MEDIA, the commissioner for health was buried according to Islamic rites and the janaz (prayer for the dead) was attended by relatives, friends, officials of state government, health workers and members of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state in large numbers defying the directives of the state government on social gathering and others in her fight against Coronavirus.
It was also learnt that the commissioner, Adegbenro was buried in his hometown, Ilara Mokin in Ifedore Local government area of ondo state on friday.
Mr Adegbenro died two days after he submitted a health report confirming Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu's positive result to Mr governor.
Recall that a video had earlier shown the governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu, sneezing in public without a face mask, days before he was tested positive for the virus.
VOICE AIR MEDIA earlier reported that Dr Oluwole Ige, the Chief Medical Director of the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital, Akure, and Betty Akeredolu – wife of the governor also tested positive for Coronavirus on Thursday.
