No more mercy, bail for rapists in Ekiti

Governor Fayemi says no person convicted for a sex offence, such as rape, in any part of the state would enjoy his powers of prerogative of mercy anymore. The governor was lamenting the rate at which women and the girl child are being violated in the country describing it as an act of extreme violence that must be addressed urgently before it gets out of hand. Fayemi calls for a state of emergency to deal with the menace.
