Nigeria records 260 new cases of Coronavirus, total now 12486



Nigeria on Sunday night, June 7, has recorded another 260 new cases of COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus in eighteen (18) states as well as the country’s capital, Abuja.










Bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 12486 and 354 deaths.


Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), announced on Sunday night, on its official Twitter account.









The new cases are spread across Abia, Lagos, Ogun, Gombe, Edo, Imo, Kwara, Katsina, Nasarawa, Borno, Kaduna, Bauchi, Ekiti, Niger, Ondo, Plateau, Kano and Sokoto States as well as Abuja, the country’s capital.



The centre also said that ten (10) deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 354.


NCDC also revealed that total numbers of 3959 patients were discharged.









According to the NCDC, “67 new cases were recorded in Abia, 40 in the Federal Capital Territory, 38 in Lagos, 19 in Ogun, 16 in Gombe, 14 in Edo, 9 in Imo State.


It also revealed that eight cases were recorded in Kwara, Kastina, Nasarawa and Borno States, six cases in Kaduna, five in Bauchi, four in Ekiti and two each cases were recorded in Niger, Ondo, Plateau, Kano and Sokoto States.
