George Floyd Killing: Protesters defy curfew, Continue demonstration for another week

By Bright Olorungbotemi

Undeterred by curfews, protesters in the United States streamed back into the nation's streets in the wake of George Floyd's death at the hands of police for another week(8th day), VOICEAIRMEDIA has obtained.

But most protests passed peacefully. While there were scattered reports of looting in New York City, the country appeared calmer by late Tuesday than it did a day earlier, when violence swept through multiple cities.

The president, meanwhile, amplified his hard-line calls when he threatened to send in the military to restore order if governors did not do it.

According to reports, protests were held across the US, including in Los Angeles, Miami, St Paul, Minnesota, Columbia, South Carolina and Houston, where the police chief talked to peaceful demonstrators, vowing reforms.

"God as my witness, change is coming," ART ACEVEDO said. "And we're going to do it the right way."
