BREAKING: Obaseki Reacts to disqualification, Vow Not to Appeal Verdict

Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo state, says he will not appeal the outcome of the screening process.










Recall that Obaseki, who is seeking reelection into office, was disqualified at the screening process for the primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC).


Obaseki had earlier raised an alarm, alleging that the APC chairman planned to announce his disqualification in a press conference.










Shortly after the allegations were made, chairman of the APC screening committee, Jonathan Ayuba, announced Obaseki’s disqualification while presenting his report to Adams Oshiomhole, APC national chairman, at the national secretariat in Abuja










Ayuba said Obaseki was disqualified on account of a defective certificate.


But, Obaseki while reacting to his disqualification said he will not appeal the outcome of the screening process.
