2020: JAMB admission cut off marks released

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB has pegged the cutoff mark for admission into universities for the 2020/2021 admission exercise at 160 while polytechnic is 120 and Colleges of education and innovation institutions is 100 and above.









This was the outcome of the virtual policy meeting of JAMB with tertiary institutions and other stakeholders.


The Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede urged institutions not to charge above two thousand naira for their screening exercise









 
Professor Oloyede said 612, 557 candidates were offered admission in 2019 while about 510,957 spaces were unused by tertiary institutions.









The Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu represented by the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, Adamu urged JAMB and tertiary institutions to consider candidates with previous years of Senior School Certificate Examination and other qualifying results, to proceed with the admission process.
