The Extent Of His Love

Isn't it interesting to know that human sometimes have a limit to how much they can do: love, share, forgive, etc. The list is endless.


Imagine we all could love to the extent that we give away our valuables, give away our resources. But you see, this we can't even imagine.










Yet there's one who loves us so much that he holds nothing back from us. This he demonstrated by giving us his Son.


Have you seen a father who for the sake of his righteous friend would give his only son as an atonement? I doubt. But yet God, the creator of all did that.
Why?
Because he so much loved us.










That's the extent to which he loved us: so much.


For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16.










It is expedient to note that it is not the Father's will that any should perish: " The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance(2 Peter 3:9).


This desire he demonstrated by giving his only begotten Son as an atonement for you.


That if you would believe, his desire for you not to perish but come to repentance (the knowledge of him and the finished work of Christ) can be realised.










He loved you that much, that giving his Son for you wasn't an issue for him. He wants you to come to the  knowledge of him, to share in the participatory experience of sons.


Have you now seen to what extent he loved you?
He still does. The Father loves you. And all he wants from you is to place your faith in the finished  works of Christ on the cross for you. Are you ready to say yes I do.
Why not do that today?
