Eid-il-Fitri: No Moon sighted as Fasting Continues, Says NSCIA

The Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) tweeted:
“No positive report of the sighting of the Shawwal crescent in Nigeria today. Fasting continues tomorrow.”
With this development, Muslims in Nigeria will still fast on Saturday while the day of festivity will now be Sunday.
The leader of the Muslims in Nigeria and Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar has enjoined every Muslim to observe the festivity by praying at home.
Fasting in the month of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar is enjoined on all Muslims who are hale and hearty.
