Anxiety in Edo State As Truckload Of Persons From Kano Arrives The State

There was anxiety among health workers at the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital and also people of Edo State, as a truck load of about 84 persons believed to have arrived from Kano State came to the hospital.

The incident in Irrua part of the state caught the hospital management and staff unawares which led to some of the staff going home.













It was gathered that they were intercepted in the night they said they were heading to Lagos State. The Police now kept them all through the night and then the state governor, was informed, who then ordered that they be tested of the virus before any action can be taken.














They have been in isolation and they have began testing to know the status of each and everyone of them.











Chidi Nwabuzor, who is the Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the incident that operatives of the Edo Division intercepted the truck and they were then taken to the Irrua police station. When the truckload was counted, they were found to be 84 person that includes the driver, they were taken to the hospital and interrogated, which they said they were coming from Kano State.
