How suspected COVID-19 patient 'escaped from Hospital in Ondo'

A suspected coronavirus patient has absconded from the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital Complex (UNIMEDTHC), Ondo city, VAM News has learnt.



Our reporter learnt that the patient who came to the Accident and Emergency unit of the facility on Saturday reportedly absconded and he is no where to be found.



The Precision NG in a text message to a senior consultant at the facility confirmed the incident but was quick to add that it was a suspected case.


“The information is true, however it was a suspected case”, the Doctor said.



According to information available in public sphere, the name of the suspected Covid-19 patient is Ehibhanre Hansen, age 26 and was reported to have arrived from Edo state.


Some of the symptoms presented was Cough, nasal discharge, dry cough, body weakness, difficulty in breathing. The patient however appears stable in face mask and dirty disposable gloves.


“We should be on the lookout as patient might probably present anywhere for treatment,” the information read.


VAM News had earlier reported that the state has recorded fourth COVID-19 case of a police man who traveled down to the state from Lagos state.
