FEDPOFFA principal officers donate 100 bags of rice to staff over COVID-19 Lockdown

Principal Officers of The Federal Polytechnic Offa have donated 100 bags of rice as palliative measure for lower cadre employees of the Polytechnic to complement the efforts of Federal Government at this crucial time when families consume more food at home and prices of essential and household commodities have gone up, and out of reach of ordinary citizen, VOICE AIR MEDIA reports.



Four hundred and sixty-six (466) junior staff benefitted from the principal officers' gestures which is to cushion the effects of the 'stay home, stay safe' directive of the Federal Government occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic.


The rice was distributed to staff at the mini campus of the Polytechnic on Saturday while also observing the social distance advice of WHO during the distribution process.


The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr L. A. Olatunji said the magnanimity was at the instance of Principal Officers of the Polytechnic namely; Rector, Dr. L. A. Olatunji; Deputy Rector Administration; Dr Olarongbe Afolabi; Deputy Rector Academics, Arc Augustine Adama; Registrar, Mr Adetunji Oni. Others are; Polytechnic Librarian, Dr Rasaq Femi Kadir, and Bursar, Mr Azeez Ayodeji.

He further promised that the gesture would continue as long as the stay at home lasted.
One of the beneficiary of the donation, Usman Olabanji appreciated the Rector and other Principal Officers for the largesse especially at this critical period when staff on lower cadre are more vulnerable to the economic hardship being experience now as a result of COVID-19 lockdown.
