COVID-19: FG Extends Closure Of Airports By Two Weeks
The federal government has extended the closure of airports in the country by two weeks.
“They will remain closed for a further two weeks. This subject to review as appropriate.”
The NCDC on Sunday announced 86 new cases of COVID-19, making the total case incidence surge to over 600 in the country.
Recall that an announcement of the closure of local airports was made on the 29th of March by President Muhammadu Buhari as part of his lockdown order.
The two international airports in the country, the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja had been closed earlier, except in cases of emergency flight operations.
