Ondo SDP raises alarm over planned attack on LG candidate
The Social Democratic party, Ondo state today raises alarm over a planned attack on it's members and candidate by members of the ruling All Progressive congress(APC) in the state.

The Idanre local government chairmanship candidate, Bankole Akinselure, raised the alarm at press conference held in Idanre today, lamenting that the APC members in the local government had resorted to attacks on the opposition.

"Following post and comments on post on Social Media Platform of SDP Chairmanship and councillorship candidate in the coming LGA election in Ondo state, a reliable source from APC camp had revealed to SDP camp that a compromise had been reached by APC and its supporter to launch an attack on SDP Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates and Bankyposal team. The source said the attack will take different format and urge SDP team to take adequate security measures as APC in Idanre LGA believe it is best to silent there major opposition in the coming LGA election.
Meanwhile SDP has warn all her candidates and supporters not to engage anybody in fight as the party (SDP) will keep to agreements at the Peace meeting held with APC and SDP at the Department for State Security Service (SSS) in Idanre last week.
We, SDP see this as just a mere threat but we plead all security agencies should be at alert and safeguard our lives and properties."
We urge all the security agencies to be on the look for these perpetrators of devil as this is not the first time they will launch such attack on the SDP chairmanship candidate and some of the councillors.
