In Nigeria today, we set off the gaze on our problems and focus on people that are not our problem.

The Government is saddled with the task and responsibility of providing basic amenities for her populace; and in time like this swing into action on emergency allocation of funds for relief.

Tunde Bright Olorungbotemi, Publisher of VAM News while speaking with Newsmen, today revealed that a lot of young people keep on blaming Aliko Dangote, Folurunsho Alakija, Femi Otedola, Pst. E.A Adeboye, Dr. David Oyedepo, etc; and all the rich Nigerians, imposing it as a compulsory demand for them to make donations for COVID-19 crisis.

It's not compulsory or mandatory, doing so, is only out of kindness, generosity, care, love and concern for humanity, he said.

So far, they are paying their taxes to the government, they owe you nothing. Your government ought to use the tax they've paid to serve you,  particularly in times like this.

However, despite not owing you anything, they still made some commitments. Pst. Adeboye provided  ventilators costing $30, 000 each for a full ward in a hospital,  Pst. Paul Eneche did not only make donations of medical equipment, he's also out there working as a medical doctor in response to COVID-19 outbreak  with his wife.

Atiku Abubakar, Dangote and Alakija have been reported to make several financial commitments too towards tackling the pandemic.

But people who can't even attend to the needs of their neighbours,  exploiting others by increasing the cost of hand sanitizers and nose mask, disobeying stay at home orders,   spreading COVID-19  fake news on social media;  are out there criticizing those that are making meaningful contributions to the Nation in this trying times, Olorungbotemi said.

I want to urge all Nigerians to keep aside religion, political party, tribes, etc and join hands together and fight as one people to overcome the novel virus.

He said, we can't do that by castigating each other and looking for our faults and loopholes.

Together we can; we shall come out stronger
