BREAKING: Coronavirus spreads to Benue as first case confirmed, Total now 89 in Nigeria
Benue State has recorded its first case of Coronavirus.
This was announced by the state governor, Samuel Ortom, during a media briefing in Makurdi, the capital, on Saturday.
According to Ortom, the case is a recent returnee from the United Kingdom.
The state recently opened two isolation centres at the University Teaching Hospital and Federal Medical Centre Apir.

8 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria, 7 in Lagos and 1 in Benue State,” NCDC tweeted.
“As at 04:00 pm 28th March there are 89 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 1 death.”
