Ekiti Student Won SUG President and NAUS Vice President after suspension


A Nigerian student of the Ekiti State University, Arigiogo David Olaitan has won SUG presidential election in the institution and Vice President of National Association Of University Students (NAUS).


VAM News learnt, Olaitan, an Indigene of Efon, Ekiti State was suspended in the year 2013 by authority of the school for leading a protest that caused disruption of the University's activities on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2013. He was later granted pardon by the then Vice Chancellor after he pleaded for mercy.


Arigogo David Olaitan had in the past served as class governor in his department, Electrical Electronics Engineering, He was elected as the SUG President of the same institution in August 2016 and also the Vice President of the National Association Of University Students (NAUS) in june 2019.


The leadership of Arigogo David Olaitan is a call to awake other students' leaders not to give up on their ambition and vision for their followers rather they should seek for ways to dialogue and fight  for the students' interest at large.
