JAMB bans Ondo Varsity From Admitting student Over misconduct
The Joint Admission Management Board has suspended the admission process of Ondo State University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Ondo State(OSUMS) over infractions observed in the 2019 admission exercise of the institution, VAM News has gathered.
A source confirmed to VAM news that the school admission exercise was suspended in lieu of flagrant violation of the jamb admission policy.
In a letter dated 9th of January, 2020 and signed by Dr. Mahmuda A. Mahmud, the Director, Admissions of JAMB, the board observed that OSUMS "skipped high scoring candidates for low scoring candidates in the 2019/2020 admissions which is a clear violation of admission guidelines. It is against this background that the approval of your recommended candidates has been suspended."
The board has invited the registrar and the admission officer of the institution to an interactive session with the Registrar of JAMB with hopes that the situation will be rectified.
VAM correspondent speaking with Ondo NANS Chairman, Comrade Akinteye Babatunde(Babtee) today revealed to us that the report has gotten to his office and they are working on it to restore the dignity of the school and bring back the hope of the applicants.
The NANS ondo axis frowned upon the latest development affecting our students, he said.
