ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT WARNS AGAINST ADULTERATED AND ROADSIDE KEROSENE DEALERS.

The SSA to the Governor of Anambra State on Nupeng Petroleum & Union Matters, Hon. Comr. Peter Nwosu has warned Petroleum products dealers in Anambra State

against the sale of adulterated products to consumers.

The State Government further advised Ndi Anambra to stop buying petroleum products from roadside dealers.

He issued the warning in Abetete, Idemili South. Where he went to asses and condole with the families of adulterated kerosene explosion.

Hon. Peter Nwosu said that the State Government will go hard on anyone caught dealing in adulterated kerosene to serve as deterrent to others.

Hon. Peter Nwosu advised the people of the state to buy products from licensed petroleum stations only instead of patronising peddlers that are more likely to sell adulterated products to consumers.

He said that the State Government is collaborating with the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps to apprehend those involved in selling adulterated kerosene in the state.

He added that the department would also collaborate with the state Ministry of Information to sensitise the public on the dangers of adulterated petroleum products.

“A lot of people are ignorant of it and if such awareness is not created, people will continue to fall victims to such explosions,” he said.
