ADOPOLY: Differences And Similarities Between Morning, Evening and part time Programme

Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti is a polytechnic in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. The rector is Engr. Dayo Hephzibah Oladebeye. The school is located along Ado/Ikare road, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.
The school also Run Three programmes:
1. FULL TIME(MORNING): Full Tiime morning Is a full time course programme of two years(4 academic semesters). Upon completion of the programme, successful students will be awarded ORDINARY NATIONAL DIPLOMA CERTIFICATE for ND and HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA CERTIFICATE for HND graduates. The full time morning programme can only be offered by National diploma applicants that sat for jamb examination and scored minimum of 150 in their UTME examination.
Full time morning programme can be offered by eligible Higher National Diploma applicants with a minimum grade of LOWER CREDIT on their NATIONAL DIPLOMA result. The higher your grade, the higher your chance of gaining admission.
Most times the School still consider qualified candidates that applied for morning into evening programme after morning admission quota is met. Also the school do consider candidates that didn't meet up with their course cut off mark for admission into evening programme.
2. FULL TIME (EVENING) PROGRAMME:
Full time evening is a hermaphrodic-like programme which can be refer to as both full time and part-time programme. The evening students receive the same lecture and other academic activities with full time morning. Evening programme is a programme of 2years of 4 academic semesters. The programme can also be referred to as Part time because it's not recognized by jamb. The full time (evening) programme is being run by the school management and admission is being released in school notice board and not on Jamb caps.
- You don't Need jamb result for Evening programme
- Evening programme is more or less like direct entry(once you obtain the form, you will be offered admission provided your olevel result is good)
- Evening programme school fees is high because the school management pays lecturers lecturing the students
- You can't check evening programme admission status
3. PART TIME PROGRAMME
Part time programme is a three year programme of six(6 ) academic semesters this programme doesn't exist in the polytechnic anymore except for those in the system before. Part time students receive lectures at satellite campus and go for practicals at the main campus. The school management has scrapped Part time programme with effect from the 2018/2019 session. Part time students don't go for SIWES and the school fee is always paid per semester.
DIFFRENCE BETWEEN PART TIME AND EVENING
- Part Time don't go for SIWES but evening does.
- All part time except OTM receive lectures at satellite campus while all evening receive lectures at the main campus except school of business.
- Part time don't go for NYSC but Evening does.
- Evening can pay school fees per session but part time can only pay per semester.
- Nothing like part time programme in the federal polytechnic Ado Ekiti except for those in the system before. It's Now recognized as Evening.
SIMILARITIES BETWEEN PART TIME AND EVENING
- Both are satelite campus students
- Both of them are recognized as F.P.A students
- Both of PT and evening go industrial training(I.T)
- Both PT and evening pay school fee per semester
- Both PT and evening shares the same students association
- Both PT and evening have coordinators
More So, Full timers are CANDIDATES that applied for admission with jamb while part time or evening are those applicants who applied for admission with only Olevel result which is more or less like direct entry.
Part time(Evening) receive lecture off campus while full time receive lecturers on campus (Not all departments)
Evening students can pay school fees twice In a session but full time morning students can only pay school fee once per session
Evening school fees is usually below 90k to be paid on installments while full time school fees is usually below 50k
Evening or part time students make use of satellite campus off ilawe road while full time or morning students make use of the main campus along Ado-ikare road.
Full time morning can apply for hostel accommodation while evening or pt students cannot
Some Evening department such as OTM, Surveying and geo, glass tech receives lectures at the main campus with the full time or morning students.
Similarities ND evening and ND morning
• Both goes for I.T
• Both morning and evening now pay school fee per session
• Both offers the same course and sometimes same lecturers
• Both offers the same course materials
• Both students are recognized as FPA student
• ND evening departments receive lectures at the CEC except OTM among others wile ND full-time or morning receive all lectures at the main campus
• No difference in certificate of both
• Both shares the same school equipment and facilities(library, EED, laboratories and machineries)
• Both ND morning and ND evening programme is two years
• ND morning is 4 semester's likewise ND evening is 4 semester's both ND and HND
FOR HND MORNING AND EVENING
SIMILARITIES
• Both Programmes is 2years of two sessions
• Both students will be mobilised for NYSC
• Both writes the same examination at the same time
• HND Morning receive lectures in the morning and likewise HND evening
• HND evening school fees is costly than morning
• HND evening results and academics are referred to the CEC while HND morning is at the main campus
• Both morning and evening programme is two years
• Both morning and evening programme is 4 semester's
