Ondo Residents render prayers to God Over Bad Roads

THE Residents of Danjuma area in Akure, the Ondo state capital have embarked on spiritual journey to seek face of God over the deplorable condition of roads linking all the communities in the area.

Danjuma area is along Ondo road in the state capital.

The prayer sessions were led by both Christian and Muslim clerics in the  community.

It was gathered that residents of the community have been faced with the challenge of bad road for over 30 years after all efforts of self help to make the road motorable have failed.

The development has also negatively affected social economic activities of the communities in the area such as Tutugbua, Aratunsin, Ehin Apata, Falowo, and Adegolarin.

Having been tired of their condition, residents of the community who converged on a part of the bad road for a prayer session, offered prayer for Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and asked God to put it in the mind of the Governor to remember them.

Some of the Landlords ,Deacon Olusegun Adekunle , Pastor Mike Abayomi and Chief Samuel Oluwanimotele appealed to governor Akeredolu to consider Danjuma road rehabilitation as their hope had been lost.

Also Speaking, the chairman of the community, Mr Ayodele Smart who commended governor Akeredolu for executing many projects, lamented that past governments had neglected the area for many years.

Mr Smart expressed the hope that all prayers offered would be granted and the people of Danjuma would have a good story to tell very soon.

Smart said, “This prayer session which does not have any political undertone is organized for three things:

     To pray to God Almighty to uphold our loving Governor and grant him sound health and God’s protection to serve Ondo State longer. 

That God almighty will increase his ability to work more for the betterment of the people of Ondo State to appreciate Mr. Governor Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu SAN for the unprecedented projects he has been doing in Ondo State Within his short time in office. 

This is with special reference to road constructions across the state.

He is not just constructing roads but constructing roads that will stand the test of time.

He is not constructing roads on the television but roads that can be seen clearly with naked eyes to pray for Mr. Governor to remember our communities in the area of road construction. 

We have written several letters to Mr. Governor on our predicament especially on Bad road.

Our communities have been in existence over forty years ago but has been neglected by previous Governments?

 

We are to pray to God Almighty to touch the heart of Mr. Governor so that our communities can be considered this time around in road construction.

The prayer session is organized by the entire residents of the four communities.

 We want to assure Mr. Governor that, the people in these communities are strongly behind him.
